Why Still Here exists

This app was built
for my mom.

Every morning I wake up and the first thing I do is check my phone. Did they text? Did they call? Are they okay? That quiet anxiety — that pause before you know — is something millions of adult children feel every single day. I felt it too.

My mother is elderly and struggles with technology. I knew there had to be a better way to stay connected with her — something simpler than a text, something more personal than a wellness tracker, and something warm enough that she would actually want to use it every morning.

So I built Still Here. Not as a tech product. As a love letter. One tap from her. One notification to me. A photo of my dog waiting for her when she wakes up. My voice in her ear when she least expects it. A streak that reminds us both that we showed up for each other today.

Still Here is not a medical app. It is not a monitoring system. It is a daily ritual between people who love each other — delivered through a screen, but felt in the heart.

"I just wanted something easier than a text. Something that said — I see you. I love you. I am Still Here."
